You know you’re striking an emotional chord when you move an adolescent boy to tears.
When professional musician Anyerin Drury of New South Wales, Australia, got his big break on national television, his entire family turned out to cheer him on. Anyerin has been practicing his craft for his entire life, so he couldn’t wait to show the judges of “The Voice, Australia” what he’s got.

When Anyerin is not touring around Australia performing his original songs, he’s a devoted husband to wife Jamie-lea and father to three adorable kids.

Anyerin seems to be instilling a love and appreciation for music in his kids at a very young age. They’ve no doubt grown up sitting next to their dad on the couch, learning chords on his guitar, or tapping out a melody on the family piano.

So when the time came for Anyerin to hit the stage on “The Voice,” his family members were visibly excited. They anxiously waited backstage as Anyerin began to sing Sia’s emotional ballad, “Chandelier.”

Like many of Sia’s big hits, “Chandelier” is challenging from a vocal stand-point.
But Anyerin nails it!

Judge Joe Jonas is the first to hit his red buzzer, just as soon as Anyerin tackles the first soaring line of the chorus.
Fellow judges Kelly Rowland and Delta Goodrem seem to be daring each other to see who was going to jump on the Anyerin train next!

Meanwhile, Anyerin’s delighted family knew he was crushing this difficult song, and they were overjoyed backstage. Anyerin’s oldest son, Zev, was so moved he couldn’t help but weep at his father’s incredible talent.

At the end of Anyerin’s performance, only one judge remained unconvinced: 80s pop superstar Boy George.

We think you got it wrong, George! This is one talent who’s destined to go very far in this competition, and in life! Then again, when you’ve got a supportive family at home, you’ve already won.
