April 21, 2026, is a very important day for the royal family. It’s the 100th anniversary of the birth of Queen Elizabeth 11. The queen was a woman of great power, dignity, and grace. She ascended the throne at just 25 years old and remained the head of her country until her death more than 70 years later in 2022. In honor of what would have been Queen Elizabeth’s 100th birthday, her beloved grandson Prince William and Princess Kate shared a carousel of sweet photos on Instagram.

Queen Elizabeth’s 100th Birthday is a Time of Celebration
Prince William and Princess Kate certainly adored Queen Elizabeth, and it shows in the photos they chose to share. We see the queen as a young woman, with King Charles, and her grandchildren. Our favorite is the final photo that shows the two future kings, Prince William and his son, Prince George, who was just a baby. His smile and innocence just warmed our hearts.
“Remembering Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II on the 100th anniversary of her birth. Inspiring generations through a lifetime of duty,” the caption reads.
Many people shared 100th-birthday wishes for Queen Elizabeth.
“The perfect example of Christian leadership, serving across a diverse commonwealth or religions! We remember Her Majesty today in Northern Ireland with much love!” a comment reads.
“One of the most universally acclaimed and respected personalities in the contemporary world, having marked the last two centuries with high levels of popularity and approval! Unrepeatable and unique! An example of Head of State! Touched so many around the World! One of my favorite people! The Queen of Queens or simply the Queen! Left a great legacy that will endure! We will miss Your Majesty! Rest in peace,” another person shared.
Though she’s not here in body to celebrate her 100th birthday, we can only imagine that Queen Elizabeth is beaming with pride, looking down on those who loved her.
