At 44 years old, Prince William and Kate Middleton represent a new generation of the royal family, and not all PDA is off limits for the couple. They must, however, maintain decorum and remember they’re the future King and Queen of England.

Prince William and Kate Middleton Likely Express PDA Without Much Blowback
Royal etiquette expert Myka Meier told People that as senior members of the royal family, Prince William and Kate Middleton make their own choices about PDA.
“Senior members of the royal family would likely not be told how to interact or when they can or can not show PDA and would be trusted to use their better judgment as to when it’s appropriate,” Myka explained.
In addition, the couple likely look at the scenario and adjust how much affection they’ll show for one another. A hug and congratulatory kiss on the field is much more acceptable than planting one on the lips during a state dinner.
Prince William and Kate Middleton shared their own PDA photo on Instagram.
