Pope Francis Reaches Major Milestone As He Marks 28 Days In Hospital

Pope Francis milestone

On March 13, 2013, the College of Cardinals elected Pope Francis as leader of the Catholic Church. This year, he’s spending his 12th anniversary in the hospital for the 28th consecutive day. According to the Vatican, medical staff surprised the Holy Father with a cake and candles. Thankfully, it appears Pope Francis’ battle with pneumonia may finally be waning. The Vatican remains cautiously optimistic.
