Police “Traffic Stop” Turns Into Surprise Marriage Proposal In Heartwarming Bodycam Footage.

When Moriah Prichard and her boyfriend, Troy Goldschmidt, were pulled over in a traffic stop in Eau Claire, Wisconsin, she had no idea this was the beginning of a marriage proposal. Romance was probably the last thing on her mind as officers asked the couple to leave the vehicle due to an issue with Troy’s driver’s license. However, this was all part of an elaborate plan to sweep Moriah off her feet. When Troy was directed to kneel with his hands behind his back, he got down on one knee instead!

“Moriah, I love you so much,” he said. “You’re my best friend. I want to spend the rest of my life with you. Will you marry me?”

Troy pulled out a box with a ring inside. Moriah couldn’t help but laugh at the surprising traffic stop proposal, but her answer was yes!

The unusual plan was set in motion when Moriah lost her cell phone during an earlier trip to Eau Claire. Troy was so impressed with the law enforcement officer who helped them out, Officer Maggie Andersen, that he decided to ask her to be involved in his proposal. She and a co-worker agreed to help him out on their day off.

According to Fox News Digital, Moriah’s fiancé had another sweet gesture waiting for her after the proposal.

“Our parents were waiting inside a restaurant across the street watching the whole thing,” Troy said. “After it was over, they came out, which was an additional surprise.”

The best part of Troy’s traffic stop proposal was that, since the police officers were wearing their body cams, the entire proposoal was caught on video! Eau Claire Police shared the footage on Facebook.

“You never know what’s going to happen on a traffic stop,” read the caption.

Now, the couple has a beautiful way to remember their special day!
