Pastor Orders Pizza During Church & Stuns Delivery Woman With Epic Gift.

Working as a food delivery person is often a thankless job. Much of their earnings come from tips – assuming that hungry costumers even bother to add to their bill.

With that in mind, recently, one church decided to go the extra mile for an unsuspecting pizza delivery woman. In the middle of a service, they ordered two pizzas, but when she showed up, rather than just being greeted at the door, she was escorted inside for the surprise of a lifetime.

It all started when a Chicago woman named Monique Hall stopped by New Life Covenant Church on February 25. What Monique didn’t know was that the parish had been honoring “ordinary people who just work hard” all month long.

Pastor Wilfredo De JesĂƒÂºs brought her to the stage and began by thanking her for the pizza. Jokingly,  he assured her that “we’re going to pay for this.” And then some.

Wilfredo then asked what the average tip she receives is. She answered with a measly $5, so the pastor took out an envelope and counted out $100. Monique began to choke up, but that wasn’t the end of the touching moment.

Calling upon the members of his church, Wilfredo asked for just 10 other people to give.

One after the other, people came up and gave money to add to the tip total. All in all 89 churchgoers came up to donate their hard-earned money to Monique.

The unexpected generosity was so overwhelming, Monique broke down into tears. She later said:

“I definitely wasn’t expecting it, but I knew that I had been struggling for a long time being a single parent, and not having their father in their life, it takes a real damper on you, especially trying to make ends meet … I felt so loved by them, all I could do was cry.”
