A family in Wisconsin felt like they won the lottery when they were reunited with their very own Payday!

Payday the dog went missing two years ago. His parents, Dwight and Melissa, were devastated by the loss of their family pet, especially when they saw how crushed their now-12-year-old daughter was. But fate intervened when Dwight forgot to shut off the TV when he went to sleep one night.

When he woke up, he heard FOX6 News Milwaukee introducing a “little brown dog with the most adorable underbite” during their “Adopt-A-Pet” segment. Dwight looked up at the screen… and saw their missing dog looking back at him!

Right away, Dwight called the Wisconsin Humane Society and told them the dog they’d featured was his. The rescue responded quickly and arranged a reunion, which they recorded and shared on Facebook. As you can see in the video, Payday was absolutely beside himself when Melissa walked in to bring him home.

“We are beyond ecstatic for this amazing family to finally be whole again,” the shelter wrote. Watch the heartwarming reunion in the video below, and don’t forget to share this story.
