Standing at ground zero, Simon began to play a song recorded in 1964 named, “The Sound of Silence.”  It’s a smash hit that couldn’t be more moving for the occasion.  From the first note, a chilling yet somehow comforting tune begins, followed with extremely convicting lyrics.

To say the least, it was the perfect song at the perfect time to give tribute to the World Trade Center catastrophe.  Our hearts are still with the victims and their families.  Let us never forget and live in somber appreciation of the gift of life.
