There’s no way the four young men could have ever anticipated the impact their music would have on the industry worldwide. The Beatles have sold more than 500 million albums, and surviving members Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr still stay in touch decades later. On July 20, Beatles fans visiting Liverpool on the Magical Mystery Bus tour got the surprise of a lifetime when Paul McCartney stopped next to them in traffic. To make things even more incredible, he was on a FaceTime call with Ringo Starr.

Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr Happily Greeted Fans
According to the BBC, the tour bus driver and guide Neal Morton called the moment as positively surreal.” He spotted Paul McCartney out the window in his car.
“I had pulled up at the traffic lights on Hope Street when who should I see – Sir Paul with Ringo on Facetime”, he said. “He waved to us, and everybody took photos. The passengers could not believe it.”
Ringo Starr shared the serendipitous moment with buddy Paul McCartney on Instagram.
“How about that for a Magical Mystery Tour in Liverpool? Peace and Love, Ringo,” he wrote.
Fans loved the viral moment.
“Both of these men must be protected at all costs. We cannot lose any more Beatles,” a fan wrote.
This person experienced the magical moment and will never forget it. “I was there yesterday! Can’t believe I saw him,” they wrote.
This fan wants a reunion.
“Hope you enjoyed seeing the legacy continue, Ringo! Next time, get Paul and yourself together and we will record The Magical Mystery Tour part II on the bus in 2026,” they wrote.
