Florida House Lights Up Street With Most Patriotic Light Show Ever.

The Christmas season is especially hard for the families of men and women enlisted in the military who are deployed during the season. And for those who no longer can share the holidays with their loved ones, they have to learn how to get by without the ones who gave their lives to fight for our country.

But there is one house in Southwood, Tallahassee, Florida, that will bring tears to your eyes. They chose to create a memorial to all our service men and women, through their Christmas display. The house is brightly lit with 17,000 red, white, and blue LED lights that play a light show along to the tune of one of the most patriotic songs ever written.

The song choice? A medley version of Lee Greenwood’s “Proud to be an American”.

The famous patriotic song remix is synchronized to the house’s beautiful light show complete with an American flag at the top of the home’s roof.

The Whitis family is using their display to raise money for the Sempre Fi Fund. They explained on Youtube:

“Since 1775, over 1.3 million American troops have made the ultimate sacrifice. Thank you and please visit SemperFiFund.org to help give back to those who protect our freedom.â€

Their amazing patriotic display won Good Morning America’s 2011 Christmas Light Contest and it reminds us all to be grateful to the soldiers who make every day sacrifices for our freedoms.

This Christmas light show is sure to warm your heart and make you even more proud to be an American. Check it out below.
