We all know there’s no relationship quite like a dog and their kid. No, we’re not talking about the kind they give birth to. We mean the ones that come into their lives when their humans bring them home. They will protect and love those babies no matter what. Of course, kids feel the same way about their dogs and sometimes grow up together like siblings. TikTok Golden Retriever, Lady, sure got lucky when her humans brought home Olivia. The two got together like peanut butter and jelly. Now that they’re a bit older, Oliva loves to engage with Lady. Olivia’s mom and dad put a microphone on their toddler for a year while she was out walking with the dog, and the results are perfect.

This Toddler Knows How to Care for Her Dog
Sure, Olivia might be little, but she’s mighty. The toddler took a no-nonsense attitude as she took charge with her dog throughout the year. She kept Lady safe from the streets and predators and relied on the pup to care for her if she was in danger.
Lady takes her job as protector particularly seriously. She never lets Oliva out of her sight and makes sure to give her love and kisses when she needs them. Of course, Olivia feels the same, and when Lady starts to wander, she’ll tug her ear to bring her back. The family’s video touched the hearts of dog and toddler lovers everywhere.
“I LOVE that she checked the temp of the concrete to make sure it was safe for the dog. Such a kind and considerate soul,” someone wrote/
“’Lady, sit!’ Lady translating the order in her head and giving her paw instead,” another person shared.
People were so impressed by how in sync the toddler and dog are.
“The way she fell but instead of crying she was more concerned about lady and her parents saying ‘I’m alright,’” a viewer noticed.
