Paralyzed Puggle Gets Her Steps In By Playing Fetch With Patient Dad.

Losing the use of a body part is never easy, but dogs have a way of taking every setback in their stride. Four years ago a puggle named Pudge suffered a slipped disc that left her hind legs paralyzed. Her owners say she’s slowly regaining some movement over time, but in the meantime they’re helping keep her active and healthy by playing her favorite game: fetch!

In a cute video uploaded to the Viva family’s YouTube page, Mr. Viva shares how their dog gets her daily exercise in spite of her disability. It’s all about the tennis ball! Pudge loves her tennis ball so much that she simply has to chase it when it’s thrown across their hallway. She drags her hinds legs behind her as she chases the ball, but she isn’t in any pain and seems perfectly comfortable and happy to be engaging with her human.

Way to go, Pudge! There’s always a way to stay active. Watch Pudge playing fetch in the video above, and be sure to share.
