Ozzy Osbourne’s Sons Say Their Dad Did An Unreleased Duet With A 1980s Icon

Ozzy Osbourne Madonna

It’s hard to believe Ozzy Osbourne really passed away. The Prince of Darkness was one of those larger-than-life characters who seemed like he’d be around forever. Prior to his death, Ozzy sold out Villa Park in Birmingham, England, for a farewell concert with his band, Black Sabbath. We all knew it was the end, but no one really wanted to believe it. Since his death, his family has done their best to cope with their emotions and remember the good times with Ozzy. His sons, Louis and Jack Osbourne, spoke about their dad recently on the Trying Not to Die podcast. They revealed a big secret about their dad’s music. Ozzy Osbourne recorded a single with Madonna. Yes, that Madonna.

Ultimately, Ozzy Osbourne’s Duet With Madonna Never Hit The Airwaves In The United States

Jack explained that Ozzy loved female vocalists and his mom, Sharon Stone, wanted him to record a duets album.

“Was (Not Was) did a duet with Madonna and my dad,” Louis said.

Yes, the Was (Not Was) who sang Walk the Dinosaur.

The song Shake Your Head ended up on the final cut with Kim Basinger.

“It was written for Madonna and Was (Not Was), and it was when Dad was poppin’ in the early ’80s and so was she, but then she kind of like really f—– popped and then didn’t give approval on the record,” Louis shared.

According to People, Don from Was (Not Was) told Rolling Stone the story.

“She did a great job… but it didn’t sound like Was (Not Was) to me anymore,” he said at the time, revealing they brought in Ozzy to rap over the electro-pop song.

“We realized about eight years later that we had Ozzy and Madonna on parallel tracks. So we gave it to a remixer… and he turned it into a Ozzy/Madonna duet,” he added.

The 1980s were such a time to be alive. Take us back.
