Dad Edits Cat Into Famous Movie Scenes And The Clips Are Hilarious.

There’s no shortage of cute cats on the internet, but the newest feline sensation has something all the others lack: movie credits.

While Lizzy, a black long-haired rescue cat who goes by the stage name OwlKitty, may not have an IMDB page set up just yet, she’s already collecting fans and followers all over the web thanks to her appearance in dozens of Hollywood-style movie trailers and memes.

OwlKitty lives with her owners Thibault Charroppin and Olivia Boone, a pair of creative types who call Portland, Oregon their home. According to their website, Thibault is a filmmaker, animator, “Photoshop wizard, and “lifelong #catdad.” Olivia is a creative writer and content editor. Together they’ve come up with a fun way to enjoy their cats Lizzy and Juliette while also turning them into a viral sensation.

“We started making ‘Owl Kitty’ videos about six months ago just to entertain ourselves and it really took off,” Thibault explained. “At first it was just a way for us to combine our shared interests,” added Olivia. “Thibault is an animator and a filmmaker and I’m a writer, and we just wanted to make something really funny.”

From those modest first “make something funny” goals sprung some of the cutest and most clever Instagram videos ever! Olivia and Thibault spend hours posing OwlKitty, so nicknamed because of her resemblance to an owl with those huge greenish-yellow eyes, in front of a green screen. Thibault then uses his digital editing skills to insert the cat into a variety of amusing situations and movie scenes.

Olivia and Thibault make sure the experience is fun for their little furry diva by giving her lots of treats throughout the creative process. Her favorite is tuna fish, but she’ll work for just about any tasty morsel you offer her. What a pro!

To date, OwlKitty has been the star of such blockbuster hits as “Star Wars: A New Hope,” “Jurassic World,” “Game of Thrones,” “Friends,” and many more. Each video is more amusing than the last, and she’s managed to find her way into a lot of current events and news stories as well.

“Lizzy (stage name: OwlKitty) is a two year-old cat living in Portland, Oregon. She stars in all your favorite movies and tv shows and gets lots of treats and cuddles in return,” the couple wrote on their website. “Offscreen, Lizzy loves her laser pointer, her adoptive mother Juliette (a 10 year-old tabby) and the taste of cream cheese. She’s never caught a bird.”

Olivia and Thibault are clearly having the time of their lives creating these funny videos for us to enjoy, but since tuna isn’t cheap they’re asking for donations in order to keep up their efforts. With 441,000 followers on Instagram we’re sure they’ll get the monetary support they need in no time.
