Oprah Winfrey Brings First-of-Its-Kind Show to Las Vegas Sphere

Going to a show at the Sphere in Las Vegas is an experience like no other on the planet. Since opening in September 2023, the venue has attracted acts like U2, Kenny Chesney, The Eagles, Phish, and Metallica.  Oprah Winfrey attended a U2 show in 2023 at the Sphere, and it changed her life.

“I was mesmerized. I was enthralled. I was excited,” she recalls. “When you’re inside the Sphere, it’s like being under this dome that isn’t a dome, but it’s like a window. There are 160,000 speakers, and movement in the seats and your olfactory senses are being affected. If you’re looking at the beach, you can smell the beach. At one point I was like, ‘I don’t even know what is happening,’” she told People.

In April 2027, “Oprah Winfrey’s Aha” will open at the Sphere.

“It’s an opportunity to immerse yourself in a way that allows you to feel connected to yourself, but also to everybody else who’s there,” she said.

Oprah said her “Aha” moment watching U2 helped her realize that the Sphere was the perfect place for live shows decades in the making.

“This could be one of the most magnificent opportunities. You could take people to the edge of space and allow them to see their connection to the universe, and to themselves, and to each other,” she said.

Right now, “Oprah Winfrey’s Aha” will be four shows on April 2, 3, and 4. If things go well, there could be more dates at the Sphere.

“I’m calling it AHA for a reason. From the moment you come into the Sphere in Las Vegas, you will be filled with awe and wonder, and you will leave with a great sense of joy. You will leave with a very good feeling about what your life is, what it can be, and the potential for the future for you and for all of us. That’s the idea,” she said.
