Andrea Bocelli, Céline Dion, Lady Gaga, And John Legend Unite In “The Prayer.”

On April 18, Global Citizen broadcasted an event called “One World: Together at Home,” which featured a variety of performances from musicians like Beyoncé, The Rolling Stones, Taylor Swift, Ben Platt, Sam Smith, and more.

Each of these stars sang virtually to help slow the spread of the novel coronavirus pandemic, yet they still managed to be amazing and inspiring! The finale particularly stood out as Lady Gaga, John Legend, Céline Dion, Andrea Bocelli, and famous pianist Lang Lang came together for a tear-jerking cover of “The Prayer.”

The hit song was originally recorded by Dion and Bocelli in 1998 as part of a movie soundtrack, so the world was thrilled to see them reunite to give the classic new life – with a twist!

In a video, we see Dion, Bocelli, and Lady Gaga take on the bulk of the singing as Lang Lang accompanies them beautifully. Then Legend jumps into the mix and leaves everyone floored. As far as we’re concerned, the entire performance is flawless!

Better still, these artists used their talents to give back! The concert series was part of a larger fundraiser for COVID-19 relief. By April 19, Global Citizen announced they brought in more than $127.9 million!

They couldn’t have chosen a better piece to close out the eight-hour “One World” event. It so powerfully captured the love we’re sending each other during this difficult time!
