Those individuals are Clemma and Sterling Elmore. Clemma and Sterling have been married for a remarkable 57 years! Even more remarkable, is that their love is still going strong. That love is evident in a series of photos taken by photographer Stacy Welch-Christ. The vision for these photos comes from he movie The Notebook, based off the 1996 Nicholas Sparks novel of the same name, but Clemma and Sterling’s real life love story may be even more beautiful than The Notebook‘s Noah and Allie.

Stacy admired the sweet couple, so she approached them with her idea of doing a Notebook-themed shoot. She never imagined her photos would go viral, but one look at the breathtaking photos and it’s easy to see why they resonate with so many!

Stacy uploaded the photos to Facebook with the following caption: “Loving each other for 57 years now and counting… The two very special people have left a legacy that is pretty special.” It’s clear from these photos, that Clemma and Sterling do indeed share something rare and beautiful.

“They melt my heart.” added Stacy.

The shoot even included a home-made notebook with love notes and photos from Clemma and Sterling’s lives together.

“You are my life and my true love. Love you always and forever.” — Clemma

“You are God’s gift to me and I love you.” –Sterling Elmore.

Stacy told InspireMore that the shoot “was so wonderful because it showed people do desire to know… goodness and are inspired by it in their daily lives.”

Even Nicholas Sparks, author of The Notebook, saw the photo-shoot! And he loved it! He tweeted about it to his 538,000 followers:

But the couple didn’t just pose for Stacy’s photos; they gave her some relationship advice, telling Stacy that they don’t go a day without saying “I love you” ten times.
