Lightning is an adorable rescue dog looking for a permanent home. She’s been living at Dog Tales Rescue in Ontario, Canada, since she was released into their care in 2017. Staff members guess that she’s about seven years old – and she’s spent about six of those years at the shelter. However, they’re using TikTok to spread the word about Lightning’s situation, posting a video a day in the hopes that someone will want to adopt her.
In a recent video, Dog Tales shared that Lightning has been without a family for 2,040 days. Sadly, the pooch has been through a lot, and not just anyone can take her home.
“Due to her past she has some behavioral issues and for that reason she’s looking for an experienced home with no other pets or children,” her care givers told Newsweek. “The staff here are working with her every day and she’s doing amazing with some of us. She’s super smart and she loves learning and doing new tricks. She is great at agility.”
