Yinka Lawanson has learned a lot about Americans since emigrating from Nigeria, but a recent snowstorm gave him the opportunity to participate in a time-honored favorite: Making snow angels!
Yinka is a musician who goes by the stage name Lamboginny. Together with his wife, Taccara Rae, they share videos and photos from their life together on their popular Ling and Lamb social media pages. They boast over 2.7 million TikTok fans, and videos like the one below are a good example of why they’re so popular with viewers.
In the video, Yinka tells Taccara that before going inside to get out of the cold, he wants to do something he’s seen many Americans do.
“I don’t know what you call it, but it goes like this,” he says cheerfully before flopping down into the snow and waving his limbs to make a classic snow angel. Taccara can’t stop giggling as she watches her fully-grown husband flailing around in the snow like a kid, and we don’t blame her a bit. His enthusiasm is infectious!
Since Nigeria has a tropical climate where temps rarely fall below 79 degrees Fahrenheit, we can only imagine how cool it must be to experience snow for the first time. And who could deny the fun of making a snow angel? Not us!
