38-Yr-Old Mom Conquers Gymnastics Fear That Held Her Back 24 Yrs Ago.

Today, Nicole Clemens is a 38-year-old mom and English teacher but when she was 14, she was a girl who loved gymnastics but “wasn’t any good” at it. Back then, she had a fear of the roundoff back layout because she didn’t want to hurt herself, and she didn’t want to fail. So, at age 15, she called it quits.

Nicole told TODAY Parents that about a year ago she started getting an itch to get back into the sport, so she signed up for adult classes. Before long she was back in the groove and decided it was time to face her fear of the roundoff back layout. Once she gained some confidence, she posted a video of herself doing the stunt – and totally nailing it. Her video is inspiring thousands and reminding people that it’s never too late to face your fears.
