Niall Horan Raves Over 15-Yr-Old Who Perfectly Makes One Of His Songs Her Own.

A two-photo collage. The first shows Niall Horan on "The Voice," smiling softly with recognition. The second photo shows Olivia Eden smiling as she auditions for "The Voice."

During auditions, “The Voice” judges hear incredible renditions of a variety of iconic songs, but I imagine that nothing can compare to hearing someone perform a song of your own. When this happened to Niall Horan for the first time, as seen just this week, his reaction was so wholesome! Seconds after Olivia Eden began to sing “This Town,” Horan’s face lit up with recognition. Then, that smile stayed on his face because of how perfectly she made the song her own.

At only 15 years, Olivia absolutely blew the judges away, with Gwen Stefani pointing out that she has a yodel quality to her voice that she thinks will become her signature sound. Two judges turned around for her: Horan and Reba.

“Great song choice,” Niall said, later adding, “You showed off so many different parts of your voice — more than I do, and I wrote the thing … I’d love you to be on my team. And thanks for picking my song. Thank you.”

Considering that Horan was only 16 years old when he auditioned for “The X Factor,” just a year older than Olivia is now, it’s no wonder that this up-and-coming singer ended up choosing him as her coach — though, I imagine being a fan also had a lot to do with it!
