We all enjoy incredible gymnastics routines, but “Crazy In Love” is the only way to describe our reaction to Nia Dennis’ performance.
The UCLA athlete recently catapulted herself into online stardom with a floor routine worthy of Queen Bey herself.
On February 23, Nia celebrated turning 21 by conquering a killer routine set to a medley of Beyoncé’s greatest hits. Everyone who was at UCLA’s Pauley Pavilion that day erupted into cheers as she soared through the air — and showcased some iconic Beyoncé moves!
In a video, we see that Nia’s perfect technique is matched by her confidence. Not only does she make the difficult flips, spins, and leaps look easy, but she also draws her audience into the fun.
“She can just turn her personality on and let it shine,” one of the announcers said later.
Meanwhile, we can hear screams of joy from her teammates as she makes her final landing and holds her hands up in a crown above her head.
Her routine ultimately earned a 9.975 from the judges — a nearly perfect score!
Since her performance went viral, Nia has received an outpouring of love and support. Even celebrities agree that she’s flawless!
Alicia Keys pointed out her “unstoppable power and confidence,” and Steve Harvey said, “Inspiring, you are destined for great things.”
As for the gymnast herself, she’s thrilled. “Thank you everyone for such positive messages,” she wrote. “It means the world to me to have your support. This is so surreal I can’t even believe it!”
All the hours she poured into this routine were clearly worth it. Congratulations on the big win, Nia! You’re a star!
