The Transportation Security Administration recently held its annual Cutest Canine Contest, and airports across the United States showed off their best pups. Bolt, a 3-year-old German Shorthaired Pointer from Dallas Fort Worth International Airport, took home the top prize. Bolt posed for a few photos for the contest, and Fox 5 anchor Alex Whittle could hardly keep it together during a segment about Bolt. She got a terrible case of the giggles while reporting on the Cutest Canine Contest, and her reaction quickly went viral.

“This picture really takes me out,” she said, laughing.
Bolt is the Cutest Canine
Bolt might be the cutest canine, but Alex had the cutest reaction. Alex Whittler and meteorologist Marquise Meda’s were taking about the photos duing a live broadcast on August 27, 2026, and Bolt got her good. Marquise noticed and played along to make sure he got Alex to laugh as much as possible.
“Oh my gosh, this has not happened in a minute. I don’t know if I can finish,” Alex said. “This is a real tear. Please just do the final weather.”
Seeing Alex crack up at the Cutest Canine Contest made viewers giggle. They loved the story about Bolt just about as much as they loved Alex’s reaction.
“Dogs like Bolt live in shelters across the country. Bolt to the shelter to adopt or foster a dog. You will save lives. Thank you news crew. Y’all are as funny as Bolt,” a fan wrote.
“Bolt looks like he lied on his resume and is not prepared for this responsibility,” another person wrote.
As the comments went crazy on Instagram, Alex noticed and wrote, “Of course you post this and QUICKLY too!”
