This man has taken a new approach to turning that frown upside down. He’s replacing the frown on other people’s faces with his own grin!
Traditional paintings often feature stoic facial expressions. Artist Flower Hakka has taken to adding a bit more character to the pieces!
He puts a video filter over the images in the location of the nose, mouth, and chin. Then Flower moves to the specific position that allows his face to line up with the piece!
From there, the artist makes a wide variety of expressions including a smile, bringing some laughter to an otherwise serious painting.
His playful approach to art has taken the Internet by storm, with his videos being seen by thousands of viewers.
What a fun project! His work is a reminder that we don’t have to take things too seriously. Even beautiful, historic artwork can sometimes use a jolt of humor now and then. A smile is a great artistic mission.
