The Most Generous Celebrity Donations Over The Past Year.

Image shows Miley Cyrus on the left and Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson on the right.

Every year, people give money to charities, and we are celebrating the most generous celebrities of 2023. The billionaire donors who share their vast wealth with charities are topping the list. Warren Buffet plans on giving his entire bundle to charities on his death. We want to celebrate those who have less but are still giving away great gobs. You’ll recognize many celebrity donors using their money and influence to help millions. They aren’t always celebrated as much as the billionaire donors, but their contributions make a huge difference in many areas.

1. Shaquille O’Neal — “I’m just a regular person”

Shaq is larger than life, literally. This huge teddy bear of a man has a HUGE soft spot for the kids. Shaq made much of his money as a National Basketball Association (NBA) star player. He created the Shaquille O’Neal Foundation and supports Boys & Girls Clubs nationwide. The totals for 2023 haven’t been posted yet, but you can follow his fundraising efforts and giving on Instagram. The results are in Shaq — you are not just a regular person; you are a superstar!

2. No List Of Generous Celebrities Is Complete Without Dolly Parton

Dolly Parton is one of the most generous celebrities of 2023.

Dolly Parton never stops giving back. The country music star received the Carnegie Medal of Philanthropy in 2022 for supporting charitable foundations. One of Dolly’s ongoing contributions is the Imagination Library. Dolly sends millions of books to children under five to bring them the joy of reading. You can watch a video about this awesome worldwide program here. The Imagination Library is just one of many charitable contributions made by this singing sensation. We don’t have enough room to list everything, but if there is a need, you can be almost certain Dolly is “meddling” to decrease the gap. She has funded scholarships, COVID research, disaster relief efforts, and more. Dolly is definitely giving back.
