We’re all looking for that one memorable photo that will put us on the internet map of “things you have to see.” Looking at life through the lens of a cell phone camera can create confusion, like mistaking a Burger King sign for the Moon.

Life in Louisiana might be less than exciting at times. So when you see the bright, full Moon looming in the distance, it only makes sense to want a picture. When you have night blindness and things are fuzzy, you think that maybe your camera will clear it up. Focus. And then the distance shortens, and you get your wake-up call. That isn’t the Moon, it’s a Burger King sign.

However, it might be time to have a brief discussion about regular visits to the optometrist. Nah, who are we kidding? If you have ever driven at night, you have probably had a moment similar to this. However, most of us don’t record them on video. We laugh and continue on our merry way to see the Moon another day.
