When she and her husband spotted the most beautiful rainbow outside, they were quick to take out their phones to capture the moment. They were also quick to get their oldest daughter out of bed so she could experience this moment, too.

That last person certainly isn’t wrong. Lightning on its own is rather common. In fact, it’s said that there are over 3 million strikes in a single day. Even rainbows are fairly common. But the chances of both taking place at the very same time is incredible. Why that’s the case, however, has a lot to do with the people who witness them.

If you aren’t standing in just the right spot, a rainbow simply won’t exist to you. In this family’s case, they were positioned in a way that made this rainbow super vibrant.
