To those who wear pink on Wednesdays, we have a party idea for you. When cool mom Kadee Martinovich gave birth to her daughter, Audrey, on October 3, she knew exactly what to do. Fans of the movie “Mean Girls” know that October 3 is the day Aaron Samuels asked Cady Heron what day it was. Kadee told People that Audrey was actually due on October 12. When she surprised her mom a week early, it was a bonus.

“I mean, how iconic? I also feel like the first birthday is the only birthday that parents can do the theme for themselves. After that, you have toddlers with opinions who want to choose their own,” she said.

Her “Mean Girls” Party Was Totally Fetch
Kadee didn’t miss a “Mean Girls” detail while preparing for the party. She incorporated many of the movie’s iconic lines and themes throughout.
“For food, I was going to do a taco bar with the quote, ‘I can’t go to Taco Bell, I’m on an all-carb diet,’ but with my daughter being one, no teeth, and pasta being her favorite, we went with a pasta bar instead! We still used the quote, ‘I’m on an all-carb diet,’” Kadee explained. “We also had ‘We should just stab, Caesar!’ salads and ‘My father, the inventor of toaster strudel’ apple strudels for dessert. And we can’t forget the part everybody on TikTok loved the most: our plastic silverware labeled “‘The Plastics.’”
People loved the party.
“I’ve always been a little bummed that my daughter’s birthday was 10/4,” a mom shared on TikTok. “But I think I may still convince her that we need to have this be her birthday theme one year lol.”
