It’s unclear how badly the comment hurt Guillermo Rodriguez’s feelings, but Jackson Olson wanted to make amends and set a good example. He and Guillermo appeared together in a silly Instagram video where Jackson admitted he made a mistake.

“To G and to all of you, from the bottom of my heart, I am so sorry about my comment I made the other day and that it caused this much negativity. I love this guy; now let’s do what this show is meant to be about.. DANCE,” he wrote. “ily G.”

Fans supported Jackson and his apology to Guillermo.

“See I knew yall were good this whole time, I hate that people blew this all out of proportion! You have such a kind heart, and I love that you mentioned what this show is actually about- DANCE!! Now go out there and have an amazing birthday show,” one person wrote. “Rooting and voting so hard for team bananaballroom!”

This fan agreed, writing, “I think anyone paying attention knew that there was no ill will but you know the internet! now go dance your butts off.”

Hopefully the men can leave this all on the dance floor and remain friends.
