Abish Rivera Duque is self-described as “Just a Cool Mom, Boss Babe & Wifey” on her TikTok tagline. She’s more refined on Instagram, using “I’m not a regular mom, I’m a cool mom” as her tag. Either way, you get the impression that she loves being a mom. When three Mormon missionaries visited the house, they had to dance to prove they were worthy.

Abish is returning to the Mormon Church after a period of disconnection and is reconnecting with her faith. So far, she and her husband have two daughters. When three young men visited to discuss the LDS church with her, Abish’s older daughter took the lead role. Lead cheerleader, that is. The young girl decided to teach the missionaries the dance moves for one of her cheers.
The young men were great sports, although they could use some additional dance lessons. They did exhibit a great deal of enthusiasm, though, so accolades are due. Nothing in their training program likely prepared them to deal with the strict mini-coach they would face. Abish’s daughter showed the young missionaries no mercy while teaching them the dance moves.

Being a missionary is not easy. Most days, these young people go door-to-door to speak with people about their religion. As you can imagine, they might need a good sense of humor. People often don’t want to listen, and sometimes they can be downright rude. Some days are good, though, and they visit with those folks, like Abish, who might be returning after an absence.
This was a good day for these young missionaries, and they even learned a new dance! With their successful performance, the missionaries have been officially converted to “cheerleaders for a day.”
