Pup And Trainer Melt Hearts At World Dog Show With ‘Basic Training’ Routine

They say that most people crack during boot camp. High stress, very little affirmation, preparing for a war zone and your possible demise or triumph is a lot of pressure and not too glamorous. But if you end up looking to your left and seeing the sweetest four-legged fluff, things might take a turn for the cuter and the better. But, what if you take it one step further and uproot dog bootcamp and put it smack-dab-in-the-middle of a dog dance competition? NOW you have my attention.

Every year, hundreds of dogs around the globe compete in the FCI Dog Dance World Championships. The competition is split into two categories; freestyle and heelwork to music.

With this past year’s competition taking place in Moscow, Lusy Imbergerova and Deril traveled from Italy to show off their elegance, toughness and cuteness in the freestyle category. While they only made it to the semi-finals, the video below shows a show-stopping performance that will make you want to run out to the ASPCA, adopt a dog, and begin training today!

The amount of time spent training Deril doesn’t go unnoticed, and quite honestly the cues seem to flow effortlessly and flawlessly to the pooch.

If World War 3 were to break out, we would all feel completely safe in Deril’s paws.
