Michael Strahan’s Family Just Keeps Growing
Back in August, Michael had good news regarding his daughter Isabella. Not only was she able to reach the milestone of being one-month cancer-free, but she also got to experience the joy of going back to college. Now, the Good Morning America anchor is sharing some great news about his other daughter, Tanita.
PEOPLE reported that “during the Fox NFL Sunday show on September 22,” Michael Strahan said that “his eldest daughter Tanita gave birth to a baby boy named Onyx.” That was the only insight into that exciting aspect of Michael’s life that he shared that day.
Even his daughter has yet to share the news of her son’s birth on her social media accounts. Tanita is the eldest of Michael’s four children and currently lives in Germany with her mother.
Tanita, Michael’s Oldest Child
Michaels’s oldest daughter was born in Germany but lived in Houston, Texas, until her parents divorced. Following the split, she moved back to Germany. In 2016, Tanita spoke to PEOPLE about how life overseas contributed to her laid-back personality.
She stated, “I’ve never been the type of person to be starstruck. Growing up in Germany, no one cared about stuff like that.”
Michael Strahan has a very high opinion of his eldest daughter. He shared, that she is “kind of like me in the sense that she has a very strong personality, but a silent strong personality.”
He continued to praise her by saying that she is “very smart and she knows what she wants.” Michael claimed that that was one of his favorite things about her. In addition to Tanita, Michael also has a son named Michael with Wanda Hutchins. Additionally, he has twin daughters, Isabella and Sophia, with his second wife Jean Muggli.
The star told PEOPLE that “he credits his kids as his source of strength.” He continued, “To me, it’s all about family, now more than anything.” We hope that the good news continues to roll in for Michael Strahan and his family.
