There are people who were born to be adventurous. Aniol Serrasolses is most certainly one of them. From the moment his brother, Gerd, took him paddling, he was 100% hooked. The thrill of paddling was unlike anything he had experienced before. Unfortunately, there weren’t many kayaking opportunities for Aniol in Catalonia, where he grew up. So, when he was able, he moved to Sort.

“The section through the tunnel was one of the most beautiful shots I’ve seen on any video,” someone online points out, with another person adding, “That water is gorgeously clear. I’ve never seen water more clear than that. Absolute serenity.”
Finding this ice waterfall was more difficult than you might think. That’s because it’s particularly remote and elusive. In the end, though, they were able to find the perfect one for Aniol. Who, by the way, had an absolute blast on this ride!

But making this icy journey was anything but easy. First, Aniol and his crew had to scale ice walls and cliffs in order to reach the waterfall. From there, they had to find the perfect spot for Aniol to start his ride. In the end, though, all of the struggles they faced were worth it for that 20 meter (around 65 foot) drop! In fact, Aniol describes the moment as “kayaking on another world.”
“I love my life,” he once said. “I wouldn’t change anything about it and I want to keep kayaking, travelling and documenting what we do for many more years!”
