Megan Milam hasn’t seen her best friend, Michael Pile, in four months because of COVID-19. Just when the 13-year-old began questioning if she’d ever see him again, their moms came up with the perfect surprise!
The pandemic has been hard on everyone, but it’s been especially difficult for Megan, who has cerebral palsy. She is nonverbal and communicates through a modified version of American Sign Language, and she isn’t aware of what COVID is or why she’s been unable to visit people.
That’s why, when some restrictions were finally lifted, their moms arranged for the besties to see each other again – and what a gift it was!
