Woman Has A New Zest For Life After Losing Over 100 Pounds On “Lazy Diet.”

Megan Faraday Weight Loss

Two years ago, Megan Faraday had trouble walking up a flight of stairs despite spending years of her life trying to find the right diet, but finding herself stuck in the diet and binge-eating cycle. She was tired of feeling this way and decided to give another diet a shot, except this time she wasn’t so strict on following the rules – and it worked.

Now, she’s 100+ pounds lighter and feels better mentally, emotionally, and physically. She told GMA that since she’s lost this weight, “’I’m more outgoing and like to put myself out there more and I’ve struggled with anxiety my whole life and it’s a lot easier for me to deal with now.â€

Megan calls her diet the “Lazy Keto Diet,”because “It’s keto without all of the hardcore rules.”She follows the general guidelines, sticking to foods that are higher in fat and protein, while limiting her carb intake. And, it works for her because in one month she had already lost 15 pounds.

Prior to this approach, Megan says her diet consisted of mostly high-carb foods like pasta and bread, as well as convenience food. While she’s traded out french fries for fruits and veggies, the diet still allows her to eat things like chicken wings (and that’s not even the lazy approach to the diet!).

Additionally, Megan works out on a regular basis, around three to five times a week. Her increased energy and improved general health have resulted in her finding a new degree of happiness. She says, “I’m a lot happier now, a lot happier with myself.â€

When asked to give tips for success, Megan kept it brief, saying water, a support system, and simplicity were the keys to her journey. She said, “You need to do it for yourself..You need to make yourself happy at the end of the day.â€
Megan’s motto of pursuing this journey for the sake of her own happiness and health is one that should be shared, so be sure to pass her story along to your friends!
