Most of the time, when someone auditions for America’s Got Talent, it’s because they went out of their way to do so. That wasn’t the case for Chrisyius Whitehead. At only 5 years old, he was invited to audition by the very people who run the hit talent show. AGT first discovered the talented kid in a viral video where he showed off his skills as a drummer. Being the child of a pastor, Chris Whitehead, he’s been given the opportunity to play the drums at their church.

Still, access to playing the drums doesn’t automatically mean Chrisyius was destined to become an amazing player. According to the adorable kid himself, he’s been practicing since he was only a year old. He’s so good, in fact, that he doesn’t even need a set of drums to sound incredible. He proves this in the video that went viral on social media — check it out below!

As Chrisyiuys’ brothers and dad sing, he gives them an amazing beat. Best of all, he does it as if it’s second nature! It’s no wonder the folks at AGT saw this video and had to invite him to audition! This kind of talent is rare, especially in someone so young.
Chrisyius Whitehead Stuns the AGT Audience With His Mindblowing Audition
When AGT first reached out to the Whitehead family, they couldn’t believe it — quite literally!
“[I thought] it was a scam so I ignored them,” Chrisyius’ mom, Dawandrea Whitehead, says, “BUT a little while passed and they reached out again, after speaking with them my husband and I prayed about it for a little while and decided to accept the offer…”
Needless to say, the Whitehead family couldn’t be more grateful for choosing to say “yes” to this opportunity. After nailing his AGT audition, even more folks from all around the world are fans of this talented kid! Truly, Chrisyius Whitehead’s future is so bright, and we can’t wait to see where his passion and skills take him in AGT and beyond!
