8-Yr-Old Makes Mom Stop Car, Runs To Old Lady With Simple Act Of Kindness.

Adults often bemoan children’s lack of manners and respect for their elders, but there’s at least one young boy out there who’s turning that notion on its head. In a Facebook post that’s since gone viral, Georgia resident Riley Duncan posted the sweetest proof that children are just as capable of performing random acts of kindness as the rest of us.

Earlier this week, eight-year-old Maurice Adams Jr. was on his way back from a high school graduation in Milledgeville, southeast of Atlanta, with his mom and sister. Out of the corner of his eye, he saw an elderly woman making her way across a busy street using a walker, and this sweet boy was concerned for her safety.

After asking his mom for permission to help her, he hopped out of the car and stopped traffic so he could give the woman a hand.

Riley, a bystander, was so touched that he took out his camera and captured the moment on video. Maurice’s small hand helps guide the unidentified woman and also prevents her from falling until they’ve safely reached the landing.

Maurice’s mom, Contritia Hill, said the woman “told him that he’s special”and they embraced …

Then Maurice turned and ran back down the stairs with a skip in his step.

It pretty much goes without saying, Contritia is extremely proud of her son.

It’s touching. It’s very touching. (It just shows) respect and raising your kids right goes a long way.

One viewer event wrote she wants to “squeeze this young man … Your parents are doin right by you sweetheart!!â€

We couldn’t have said that better ourselves. Watch this sweet boy’s heart-warming act of kindness in the video below. Share if you agree the world needs more people like Maurice!
