“I fell asleep in there again and then woke up with my husband nose to nose with me,” Carrie Jakubowski told People. “I burst into tears with maybe every emotion ever. He looked like he had also been through it, so I made sure to repeat over and over again that I was okay.”

It wasn’t until Carrie asked Paul for her phone on the way home that she got the real surprise.

Paul Sent Carrie Jakubowski More than 100 Text Messages During Her Surgery

Carrie Jakubowski told People that while she was in surgery, Paul took a Paddington Bear stuffed toy on a grand adventure and sent photos and messages all along the way.

“I was very confused thinking they were from individual people. Then I saw that over 100 of those were from him and started to scroll, and honestly, it’s on brand for Paul, but also was a grand gesture by any measure, so it really helped reassure me in a different form of his love and devotion,” Cariie said.

She shared a TikTok clip of Paul and Paddington’s adventures, and it quickly went viral. People fell in love with Paul and his incredible love for his wife.

“First off, I’m so glad you’re ok. Secondly, the screen gets blurry a few seconds into the post. Your husband is a real gem. I hope you recover quickly and give that man a high five for me!” Someone wrote.

“So sweet!! Sounds like a good guy,” another person shared. “Glad you are on the mend and he is taking care of you!! Get well and enjoy every minute!!”

Carrie Jakubowski told People she knows just how lucky she is to have Paul.

“It’s not bragging, it’s just me finally understanding that this is what I’ve always wanted and it’s me finally understanding that this is what I’ve always wanted and reminding people that it’s ok to want this, too,” she said.
