Bo Fenderson and his friend, Tanner, are from Bangor, Maine. Both of them are massive fans of Luke Combs, so what better way for the two of them to celebrate Tanner’s birthday than to go to one of his concerts? There was only one problem: the cost of the tickets.
Luckily, these determined boys found a way to earn the $200 they needed. At the concert, they held up a sign with a message they hoped Combs would see, giving him details on how they got there.
“We made $100 bucks stacking 5 cords of wood, bought two Luke Combs tickets,” the sign read. “Man, he sounds good. Our Dads swore it was a waste of time, oh but they were wrong. Today’s my 12th birthday, oh Lord when it rains it pours.”
Not only did Combs see it, but he also paused the concert so they could chat! Once he learned they spent $200 to be there, he pulled $140 out of his own pocket and handed it to the hardworking kiddos. He even promised to pay them back the rest, gifted them some merch, and had a meet-and-greet after the show!
“I thought it was pretty cool to see him walking towards us,” Tanner said.
