Pit Bull Found Chained Up In Garage Gets 2nd Chance At Happy Life.

To most of us, the thought of chaining up a dog and neglecting her for years on end is just unconscionable.

Sadly, however, that is exactly what happened to one pit bull named Lola, who spent eight years of her lonely life chained up, sleeping on a concrete floor. She was never allowed off her restraints in the dark, cramped garage and heartbreakingly, she never received a single vet checkup under the “care” of her previous owners. But then someone finally noticed Lola and made a call to AMA Animal Rescue in New York. From there, Lola’s whole life changed.

Once volunteers arrived on the scene, they convinced her owner to surrender her to their care. After a lifetime of neglect and abuse, rescuers assumed that Lola would be defensive, terrified, and maybe even aggressive toward them.

They quickly learned, however, that this couldn’t be further from the truth.

When it all came down to it, all that Lola wanted was love. She turned out to be totally sweet and gentle! One shelter volunteer named Michelle Walsh even nicknamed her Wiggly Butt because of how often that tail of hers wagged.

After rescuing Lola, they took her for her very first checkup! Fortunately, all that needed to be done was some benign mass removal. Once she had a clean bill of health, she was placed into foster care in hopes of soon finding a forever home.

The perfect match for Ms. Lola was a woman named Charlène von Saher who just couldn’t get enough of the kind, sweet pup. Charlène is basically the best dog mom ever and makes sure to spoil Lola rotten! After all that she’s been through, it’s exactly what she deserves.

Because the pup spent the first part of her life sleeping on a cold concrete floor, she’s developed quite an affinity for comfy beds of all kinds! Fortunately, Charlène is more than happy to indulge this fledgling diva.

All over Instagram, you can find photos of Lola having plenty of naps on fluffy pillows, comfy couches, and just about any plush surface she can find.

“She figured out where her little beds were, and what was soft and what was comfortable for her,”Charlène explained.

As you can clearly see, she is living the good life. One day, Lola’s mama even noticed that a cashmere throw pillow was missing from her bed.

Hilariously, she found it in Lola’s dog bed, nestled right under the adorable pooch’s tired head. A socialite’s work is never done, after all.
