Patrick Abdo is a drummer, performer, author, and educator who currently teaches one-on-one drum lessons in Dubai. Patrick stands behind his students playing air drums as they bang out their lessons. On one occasion, he was rendered speechless in freeze-motion when his student drummer began singing.

The young lady has an incredible voice. At the end of the riff, Patrick exclaimed, “What was that?” He could not hide his amazement when the girl displayed her unknown talent. The clip has more than 3.2 million heart reactions on TikTok and almost 1.6 million “likes” on Instagram. It is safe to say that Patrick wasn’t the only person who liked this little drummer singing.
Patrick works with students of every age, from elementary school to geriatric. Although not his youngest, she is among his youngest students. Patrick doesn’t post his students’ names or ages with their videos for reasons of his own. We can’t tell you who this drummer that started singing is, but keep your eyes peeled. You may see this young woman nationally in 10 to 15 years.
Patrick enjoys the drums and instills that love in his students. You can see in the animated way he instructs and the outright pride he shows when each student finishes. He is all smiles and encouragement, which is wonderful to see, especially when working with younger students. It is no surprise why he is a popular instructor.
