Date nights are a rarity for Lisa and Jon West.
The Ohio couple has quite a bit on their plate. Not only are they the proud parents of eight children, but they’re also raising a daughter with special needs. That’s why they were stunned when a stranger made their night!

With so many kiddos to care for, Lisa and Jon don’t have many chances to eat out. So when Jon surprised his wife with a delivery for two from Scratch Steakhouse and Lounge in Louisville, she couldn’t wait to dig in.
The only problem was the delivery service had forgotten part of their order.

When Lisa called the restaurant and explained the situation to owner Demond Germany, he immediately apologized and promised to fix it. Of course, Lisa didn’t expect that he would go above and beyond to make things right!
In addition to replacing the couple’s meals, he personally delivered food for their entire family – free of charge! Touched by his generosity, the mom shared his good deed in a Facebook post that has since gone viral.

“Demond just showed up at our house a half an hour ago with two large bags that held enough food to feed a small army,” Lisa wrote. “I met him in the driveway and stammered around to express my gratitude.”

His kindness couldn’t have come at a better time! Ava, one of the family’s 3-year-old twins, was born with microcephaly, and they’d just received some disappointing test results.
“I am sure he also wasn’t aware that today is Rare Disease Day, or that I had shared difficult news with our family and friends today regarding our sweet medically complexed miracle of a daughter,” Lisa explained. “Thank you, Scratch, and thank you, Demond, for reminding this mama and daddy tonight that God is always ALWAYS faithful.”

Demond is obviously someone who cares about his customers! Keep up the wonderful work!
