Sometimes when you’re stuck in an unfortunate situation, the only thing you can do is dance.

Lisa Smoot of Nashville, Tennessee (otherwise known as the woman we wish would be our best friend forever!), was sitting in her car in gridlocked traffic on I-65 heading north out of Alabama. After they’d been sitting for a bit, Lisa’s passenger began to take video as she boogied in her car seat to the Beastie Boys classic “No Sleep Till Brooklyn.” In spite of the close quarters, Lisa managed to bust out some impressive dance moves, complete with some sweet air guitar!

But it wasn’t until “Me Too” by Meghan Trainor came on that we got the chance to see Lisa’s real moves.
“This is my song!” She announced gleefully, starting to wiggle in her seat before the song had even fully started. Impressively, Lisa seemed to know every single word!

“Who’s that sexy thang I see over there?
That’s me, standin’ in the mirror.”

How much would you want to be in one of the cars nearby when this lady jumped out and started dancing? We’re only surprised more people didn’t jump out and join her, because this kind of funny, happy attitude is contagious.

All good things must come to an end, and eventually the song wraps up. Lisa, however, is ready to keep the party going. “What’s next?” She asks breathlessly.
Turns out, what came next was viral super stardom, all thanks to Lisa’s husband, Lee Smoot.

Lee uploaded the video to Facebook, and almost instantly the world fell in love with her. Within two months, the video had been viewed over 18 million times on Facebook alone!
It’s nearly impossible to watch Lisa’s car dance without grinning from ear to ear. She’s got a way about her that you can just feel, all the way through the computer screen. Her adorable southern accent doesn’t hurt, either. We think we’re in love!
