Family’s Incredible “Les Miserables” Singalong Is Broadway Worthy.

Move over, von Trappe Family Singers, there’s a new singing family in town.

The LeBaron family of Fruit Heights, Utah prove that true theater people aren’t made; they’re born. At the end of their Easter Sunday celebration, the five LeBaron siblings and their spouses decided to have a little bit of fun. They’ve always been musically inclined, so they lined up in the living room to perform a song together.

Many families enjoy singing together at holiday functions… but most families don’t sound like this one!

The LeBaron clan sang “One Day More” from the musical “Les Miserables.” Each family member sang one role of the song, performed by the ensemble cast.

While Jayson leads the refrain as Jean Valjean, youngest brother Landon LeBaron is particularly strong in his role as “Javert.”  Other stand-out voices include Angela LeBaron as Cosette, and Karina LeBaron as Eponine. Karina gets extra kudos for singing her part while her baby daughter pulls on her hair!

To say they nailed it is an understatement.

Like a lot of the music in “Les Mis,” this song is a powerful ballad interwoven with melodies and plot points. The LeBarons somehow manage to make this difficult song look effortless!

“We’ve all grown up singing together and we all married musically talented people,” Jayson LeBaron said. “My dad plays the piano and has been our accompanist growing up and my mom has been our music director. We all got involved with musical theater and did a lot of shows in high school and college.”

Jordon LeBaron uploaded the finished video to his Facebook page, along with the caption:

“Anyone looking to do Les Miserables for their next show? Better yet…anyone looking for an entire cast?”

The video has now been viewed millions of times, and everyone who sees it agrees that the LeBaron family is ready for Broadway, any day now!

“Music has been a unifying thing in our family. We come together in the good times and during the trials with music keeping us real, and keeping us together, and keeping us happy.”

“Singing is the glue that has held our family together during the tough times.”
