Got Yellow Teeth? I Tried The Laughland Whitening Kit And Here’s What I Learned.

Picture this: You’re standing in front of your mirror wearing your best clothes. Your hair is styled perfectly, too. Maybe you’re going to your child’s graduation, or to a cousin’s wedding, or an important dinner meeting. In any event, it’s critical that you make a good first impression, so you practice a winning smile in the mirror.

Uh-oh. You’re not sure how you never noticed this before, but your teeth are really yellow. And of course, in the grand scheme of things, that doesn’t really matter – your daughter would rather have you at her graduation, yellow teeth or not. But you still feel self-conscious.

If you’ve ever experienced anything like this before, you’ve probably considered getting your teeth whitened. But there are so many options, from a visit to the dentist (who has time for that?) to vetting numerous brands that all claim to whiten your teeth in the comfort of your own home. Who can you trust?

Thankfully, I was recently given the opportunity to test Laughland’s whitening kit, and I can attest that it does effectively and conveniently whiten your teeth!

First, I’d like to show you a picture of what my teeth looked like before I used the kit. I wore red lipstick for the classic “red lipstick test” for yellow teeth.

As you can see, my teeth were decently yellow! They’ve actually been that way for a while, so I was excited to give the Laughland kit a try.

I must admit, when I received the kit, the first thing I loved was actually the packaging. Personally, I’m a makeup junkie, and the adorable box the kit came in looks just like something in which you might find a high-quality cosmetic product. But don’t worry, all you more masculine folks out there, it’s not so feminine you wouldn’t want to use it!

Inside the box, there are three syringes full of whitening gel and a light-up mouthpiece. As you might expect, the gel goes on the mouthpiece, which goes in your mouth. The mouthpiece actually plugs into your phone, which I found extremely convenient. I could lounge comfortably wherever I wanted and scroll through social media while whitening my teeth!

Now, this is where my only two caveats come in. The first is the mouthpiece didn’t quite fit my mouth comfortably. It is worth noting, however, that my lower jaw is slightly offset, so it would be difficult to accommodate. The mouthpiece is flexible, and I have no doubt most people would have no problem, but if you have a uniquely shaped bite or jaw you may want to take that into consideration.

The second caveat could very much be considered a benefit if you have a good sense of humor. When you wear the mouthpiece, you will look funny. My best friend saw me wearing it once and said I looked like “a duck from Chernobyl.” But whatever you do, don’t laugh, or you’ll spit your mouthpiece and whitening gel everywhere!

I did this for just a few minutes every evening for six days, and I was pleasantly surprised to find that my teeth already looked a little whiter after just the first round. I noted that the gel had a sort of sterile minty scent as you might find at a dentist, and it had very little taste. What little flavor it had was pretty neutral.

By the time I had finished all six rounds, my teeth were definitely whiter than when I started! Now, I’m not going to say there wasn’t a little bit of yellow left, but I wasn’t expecting a miracle. I’m much happier with my smile now.

To prove it, here’s an “after” picture of me, wearing the same lipstick as in the “before” picture.
