Teacher Line Up In Tacky Sweaters, Then Bust Out Christmas Tune That Has Kids Howling.

All kids love it when their teachers act just a little bit goofy.

Elementary school teachers are usually more than happy to oblige when it comes to putting on a silly outfit to make their students laugh. There’s just something about all of those sweet little faces looking up at you that makes you want to work extra hard to make them smile! Lakenheath Elementary school in the United Kingdom recently went viral with a video of their staff doing just that, and their funny song is sure to make you smile as well.

Lakenheath Elementary is a school for the children of employees in the United States Department of Defense, but their teachers are civilians. The video starts with a shot of dozens of adorable children sitting quietly in a gymnasium with twelve teachers and staff members lined up in front of them. Each teacher is wearing their own funny holiday garb, from a Santa beard to a full elf costume!

As soon as they begin to sing, we recognize that they’re doing a parody of the popular Christmas song, “The 12 Days of Christmas.”

“When is the class party?” the first teacher sings unevenly. The second teacher chimes in, “I lost my mittens!” and the third teacher whines, “I’m gonna tell,” and the fourth wonders, “Is the test today?”

As the song progresses the kids start to giggle harder and harder, but when the elf teacher turns around and warbles, “Is it recess yet?” they absolutely lose it!

The verses continue with totally funny and relatable student lines, including:

We did that last year

My dog ate my homework

I don’t get it!

Can I get a drink?

He was flossing too

He cutted me!

These teachers are all great, but we have to admit: the elf stole the show!

What a hoot! These kids are lucky to have such funny teachers who are game for anything. We can’t stop singing this hilarious version of the old Christmas classic.
