Kylie Kelce Makes Big Offer To Invest In Women’s Sports In Philadelphia

Kylie Kelce WNBA

The Kelce family is obviously pretty darn athletic. Brothers Jason Kelce and Travis Kelce both have Super Bowl rings and faced off in Super Bowl LVII in 2023. But let’s not forget about the girls. Kylie Kelce was a collegiate field hockey player who then went on to coach at the high school level. As a mother of four daughters, she certainly wants them to understand the importance of women in sports. On a June 19 episode of her podcast, Not Gonna Lie, Kylie Kelce chatted with WNBA coach Dawn Staley about getting a team in Philadelphia. It seems her dream will soon come true. The WNBA will debut in the City of Brotherly Love in 2030.

Kyle Kelce Wants To Invest In The WNBA

In a follow-up episode of NGL after the WNBA’s announcement, Kylie discussed her excitement about the team. She joked that she might have been the impetus behind the decision.

“I think it might be safe to say that NGL can take credit for it. No, I’m kidding,” Kylie said. “We know that this was probably a lot longer in the making, and it was just a really timely question that I asked Dawn Staley if she would ever be interested in a Philadelphia WNBA team.”

Kylie Kelce added that she’d love to see a WNBA team that was female-owned and made a casual offer.

“If you need additional, uh, female investors, maybe call me,” she said.

Kylie and Jason share daughters Wyatt, Elliotte, Bennett, and Finnley. The mom of four thinks her girls are destined for athletic greatness.

“I am very excited to have the opportunity to not only go and watch WNBA games right here in Philadelphia but also to bring my girlies because they are due to be giants,” she said. “And I say that being a giant myself, and maybe at least one of them will be into basketball. That would be cool”

When it comes to names for a new WNBA team, Kylie Kelce has thoughts. She’s a hard no on things like the “Philadelphia 76hers, the Liberty Belles, and the Seventy Sisters.” But she does think the Philadelphia Broads, a nod to Broad Street, is the way to go.

“So to me, being from here, Broads sounds, like, powerful. I like it. Belles, not so much. Let’s not do that. We don’t need to be, like, delicate, dainty. We can be feminine and girly and still be bad-sses,” Kylie said.
