A cappella music is incredible all on its own, but it’s even better when the acoustics are just right! As we’ve seen, the difference between a group singing outdoors and performing in a cathedral is like night and day.
Since the musical quartet Kings Return didn’t have a cathedral to sing in, they went for the next best thing: an empty stairwell! The friends, who first teamed up in 2016, recently headed into the narrow space to perform a breathtaking cover of the hymn “Ubi Caritas.” As their voices formed perfect harmonies and echoed from the walls, they created a sound that we would usually expect from a full choir.
