Sometimes, as parents, we take our children along with us to places and events they may not necessarily enjoy. Of course, we hope they will be on their best behavior, but kids, particularly babies, can be unpredictable. According to People, the mother in Scotland decided to bring her baby to RAF Lossiemouth in Moray, Scotland, in the hope of getting a glimpse of King Charles. As the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces and a RAF veteran himself, he wore his Marshal’s uniform. He delivered remarks at the Stand-Up Parade for Number 42 Squadron.

“It gives me the greatest possible pleasure to be here with you all today to mark the standing up of 42 Torpedo Bomber Squadron, and to present you with your new Standard. I am especially pleased to be doing so here at R.A.F. Lossiemouth, the beating heart of the United Kingdom’s long-range maritime patrol aircraft capability, and an air station at the end of whose runway my old school, Gordonstoun, is situated!” he said.
But it’s when King Charles made his way through the crowd and saw a baby that things got interesting.
King Charles Approached The Mom And Her Baby
“Well, there was one person who wasn’t pleased to see the King Visit RAF Lossiemouth! King Charles visited the base to present a new Standard to 42 Torpedo Bomber Squadron,” reads the caption on X.
Video shows King Charles talking to the mom and her baby when the infant bursts into tears. The monarch appears to tell a joke that made everyone around start laughing.
King Charles may not have had the best luck with the baby that day, but it appeared to be a successful visit to Scotland.
“Your Majesty, you are absolutely blooming,” a fan shared on Instagram. Love you!
