King Charles Sends Hand-Delivered Invitation To President Trump

President Trump State Visit

President Trump received a formal invitation from King Charles for a full state visit to Britain this fall. Charles initially suggested he and Trump meet informally during the summer, while anticipating being in Scotland at the same time. But it seems scheduling conflicts made that impossible. Instead, according to the Associated Press, representatives from the British Embassy in Washington hand-delivered a Manu Regia to the White House last week. The hand-signed formal invitation for the state visit marks an unprecedented event for the president.

This Will Be President Trump’s Second State Visit

President Trump made his first state visit in 2019 with Queen Elizabeth during his first presidential term.

Per CNN, Charles and Trump have been acquaintances for many years.

“His Majesty has known President Trump for many years and looks forward to hosting him and the first lady later this year,” a palace aide shared with the news outlet.

News of the planned state visit caused quite a discussion online.

GB News shared the story on x with a video captioned, “‘Buckingham Palace is not happy with Sir Keir Starmer.’ GB News’@CameronDLWalkerdiscusses breaking reports of King Charles’ looking forward’ to welcoming President Donald Trump to the United Kingdom for an official state visit later this year.”

“Didn’t Charles stand by and let Britain become part of EU? Trump isn’t planning to invade Canada… there would be a referendum and the people of Canada would decide…just like we decided. Charles is a globalist…he won’t care if territory is shared,” someone asked.

However, some look forward to what will come from President Trump’s state visit.

“I hope Trump urges the King to bloody well do something before our country and our culture is lost forever,” someone wrote.

“Well, if the palace’s mood’s as changeable as the weather, I’d take it with a pinch of salt. Proper showbiz drama, that,” another person agreed.
